WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WJBF) – The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) is notifying consumers of a voluntary recall initiated by a Waynesboro supermarket involving ground beef.
The GDA said Tuesday the advisory was made in regard to the ground beef sold at the KJ’s Market, located at 208 W. 6th Street, on Sunday. According to the department, the recall was initiated due to the potential for contamination associated with the meat processing equipment.
“Upon discovery of the issue, the establishment took immediate corrective action, including removing all potentially affected ground beef processed on the impacted equipment from store shelves,” the advisory reads in part. “No other products are included in this recall.”…
