AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – At approximately 2:06 a.m. on January 22nd, Richmond County Road Patrol Deputies were actively searching for Joshua Ledane Anderson.
Investigators said Anderson was possibly driving a black Nissan Altima and was wanted for questioning regarding a homicide that occurred on January 15th at 619 East Boundary Street.
Authorities say Anderson also had multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants for unrelated charges including Possession of Methamphetamine, Superior Court Contempt Child Support, Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer, Loitering and Prowling, Criminal Trespass, Simple Battery Family Violence, and a State Court Bench Warrant.
While patrolling the East Augusta Commons at 420 East Boundary Street, Deputies saw Anderson inside the vehicle. When he noticed the marked patrol car entering the complex, Anderson immediately got out the car while it was in the middle of the street and ran into Apartment 133, locking himself inside.
It was unknown whether he was armed or if additional occupants were inside the residence…
