Augusta committee sends grass cutting department to full commission without recommendation

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Some city leaders say Augusta doesn’t cut it when it comes to keeping the Garden City grass neat and trim.

“Do you see them on the side of the road doing anything, proactively? I don’t. So that’s why I’m going to advocate for this issue that needs to be resolved. We’ve been talking about it for a lot of years. It’s time to get it fixed,” said Mayor Garnett Johnson.
