AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control advises the customers of the Langley Water & Sewer District, located in Aiken County, to vigorously boil their water for at least 1 full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
A major leak has resulted in a loss of pressure and service for the Langley Water Sewer & Fire District customers. This notice is for all customers that have been affected. There has been no confirmed contamination of the system. However, because of the loss of pressure, the potential for contamination exists.
Therefore, as a precautionary measure, the customers of Langley Water District are advised to vigorously boil their water for at least 1 full minute prior to drinking or cooking until notified otherwise by the Department…
