Finding Solutions: Tiny homes offer hope to foster youth aging out

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Hundreds of young adults aging out of the foster care system face the reality of having nowhere to call home at 18, but Bridge Builder Communities is stepping in with Augusta’s first tiny homes community designed specifically for this population.

Jackson Drumgoole’s vision has become a reality as 11 tiny homes now stand on the property, with construction moving forward on essential features.

“Air conditioners will go in here in the next few days. Sheetrock will go up soon, and then we will leapfrog to the parking lot, and Ivey Homes will start those 15 homes in the next week or so as well,” said Jackson Drumgoole, founder and CEO of Bridge Builder Communities…
