AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – At approximately 1:05 a.m., deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division responded to the 200 block of Telfair Street following multiple 911 calls reporting a fight in progress involving several individuals and shots being fired.
Upon arrival, a deputy was fired upon. The deputy returned fire, hitting a person at least once. Evidence at the scene indicates multiple shots were fired, according to authorities.
