Dominion Energy seeks 12.7% rate hike for S.C. customers

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Dominion Energy has plans to increase electric rates for South Carolina customers by nearly 13%.

If approved by the state’s Public Service Commission, energy bills for residential customers could rise by 12.7%. Commercial and industrial users would also see their bills increase.

The South Carolina Department of Public Health said its working to understand why some people are still choosing not to get vaccinated amid the measles outbreak in certain parts of the state.
