EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Columbia County Library has implemented changes after officially leaving the Greater Clarks Hill Regional System at the start of the year, with the library director saying the modifications will benefit the community.
Columbia County commissioners voted to become autonomous, leaving the group that included Burke, Lincoln and Warren counties. The change became official at the start of the year, but leading up to it, citizens continually spoke out at commission meetings to question the new rules and procedures.
