RCSS sends open letter to community on T.W. Josey High School, upcoming meetings

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County School Board sent an open letter to the community on Friday responding to concerns about a proposed Master Plan that would have an impact on T.W. Josey High School.

The proposal would turn Josey High School and adjacent middle school into a career and college academy.

In the letter released on Feb. 6, officials say they are committed to keeping the Josey attendance zone open until the new school is ready. If the board moves forward with the plan, the school boards said there will be a naming committee composed of alumni, students, and community members to discuss the name of the new facility…
