MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Augusta (15-7, 10-5 Peach Belt) used a late surge to pull away in the fourth quarter and beat Georgia College (7-15, 3-11 Peach Belt), 62-54, Saturday afternoon at the Centennial Center.
The Jaguars opened the game with energy on both ends, jumping out 7-2 on buckets from Amari Jackson and Elyse Autrey. Georgia College answered with a pair of threes to tighten it, but Augusta stayed in front and led 14-12 after one.
