WARRENVILLE, S.C. (WJBF) – The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene Monday morning after a man in an electric wheelchair fell into the Sand River.
The incident took place shortly before 9:00 am at a small overpass between the 400 and 500 blocks of Augusta Road in Warrenville, S.C.
According to Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, they received an emergency dispatch call for a male in a wheelchair partially submerged in the water just north of the intersection of Dibble Road and Augusta Road.
First responders were able to rescue the man from the water, and an ambulance was dispatched to provide treatment, authorities said…
