AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Richmond County School Board held the second of three community meetings on Monday to discuss the future of T.W. Josey High School and the broader district consolidation plan.
The meeting, held at Barton Chapel Elementary School, was less heated than the first gathering at T.W. Josey, though public comments remained focused primarily on the school’s future.
Community members weighed in on multiple proposals including the possible closing of Jenkins White Elementary, the demolition and rebuilding of Barton Chapel Elementary School and the proposed demolition of T.W.
