AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – At the corner of Laney-Walker Boulevard sits an empty lot. But decades ago, this was one of the busiest places in Augusta.
It was called the Tasty Shop. Angelus Abraham’s grandmother, Alice Culbreth, ran the Tasty Shop for nearly 40 years.
“The door opened and closed, opened and closed, all day long,” said Angelus Abraham, the granddaughter of the Tasty Shop owner.
From ice cream parlor to community hub
