Bike Bike Baby: Cultivating the Culture in the streets of Downtown Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Alvin Watson plans to cultivate the culture of Augusta while enjoying a good bike ride in the streets of downtown Augusta.

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Watson and his wife curated “Bike Bike Baby,” which is an activity where participants get on bicycles and ride around Downtown Augusta learning about the history of Augusta and making pit stops at several of the gems of the Downtown area.

Watson is also bringing some of his hometown flavor to the Garden City with two events on Saturday, February 28th: the “Throw Me Something Mister” Augusta Parade in Downtown Augusta at 12 PM and the “Fat Tuesday” Food and Musical Festival at the Evans Towne Center Park from 1-8 PM.
