AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – Engineers with Savannah River Site (SRS) partnered with CSRA middle schools this month to help bring hands-on STEM experiences to students.
As part of National Engineers Week, National Job Shadow Day, and Discover Engineering Week, SRS engineers engaged with over 2,600 students in 128 interactive sessions that demonstrated how engineering plays a role in everyday life.
According to Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), 50 engineers volunteered for the initiative this year, held Feb. 2-6. SRNS’s Education Outreach Programs aim to connect “education, industry and community.”…
