EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — State agents are continuing their investigation and asking for public tips after someone opened fire at a South Carolina wildlife officer in December.
On Friday, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) renewed its call for information about the shooting, which happened in Edgefield County on Dec. 28, 2025. Authorities said someone fired multiple shots at a S.C. Department of Natural Resources officer after he attempted to stop a vehicle.
