AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – A jury has found Leon Tripp and Tanya Tripp guilty of murder in the killing of their daughter of Janell Carwell.
It was a unanimous decision Friday after the jury deliberated for hours. Both Tripps were found guilty on all charges. Sentencing followed shortly after on March 6, 2026.
Leon Tripp is being sentenced to Life Without the Possibility of Parole on the counts of malice murder and felony murder, followed by 20 years consecutive for aggravated assault/family violence, and concealing the death of another (10 years concurrent)…
