AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Augusta University softball team earned a conference doubleheader sweep Saturday at Jaguar Field, defeating Middle Georgia 6-0 in game one and 3-2 in game two. With the wins, the Jaguars move to 9-9 overall and 2-0 in conference play, while Middle Georgia falls to 5-9.

Augusta set the tone early in the opener, scoring three in the first inning to take control of the game with Ansley Gibson starteing the rally with a single before Eden Parker reached base, setting the table for Payton Terrell, who delivered a two-run single. Nevaeh Ross followed with an RBI single to give the Jaguars a quick 3-0 lead.
The Jaguars added to their advantage in the third inning when Chesney Miles moved into scoring position and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Parker.
Augusta extended the lead in the fourth inning. Ross reached on an error and later scored on an RBI single from Madalyn Spinks, and Parker brought home Sam Tener after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to push the lead to 6-0…
