Columbia, South Carolina – Another round of freezing temperatures is set to hit the Midlands overnight, with lows dropping below 30°F and creating risks for plants, pipes, and early morning travel.

According to the National Weather Service in Columbia, a Freeze Warning is in effect from 2 a.m. through 10 a.m. Wednesday across central South Carolina, including Columbia, Sumter, Orangeburg, and Aiken. Temperatures are expected to fall between 28°F and 31°F, cold enough to damage sensitive vegetation and expose outdoor plumbing to freezing conditions…
