AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A routine traffic stop attempt turned into a pursuit and physical struggle Saturday morning, leaving a Richmond County deputy with minor injuries and a driver facing multiple charges, authorities said.
Richmond County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a witness at around 10:50 a.m. reporting a vehicle traveling along Peach Orchard Road with a male hanging outside of the window.
Deputies went to the area and located the vehicle, and saw the male hanging out of the window. They attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, the driver didn’t comply and left, continuing along Peach Orchard Road, officials say…
