(WJBF) – Voters in Augusta will be able to see where the leading Democratic candidates for Georgia governor stand on key statewide issues when WJBF NewsChannel 6 broadcasts and streams the Democratic gubernatorial debate on April 15th in Atlanta.
The debate will feature former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, former Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan, and DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond, the only candidates who qualified to appear on stage under the non-discriminatory debate participation criteria.
Key issues in the governor’s race
During the hour-long debate, candidates are expected to address the major policy challenges facing Georgia as voters consider their choice in the Democratic primary.
The discussion will be moderated by Georgia Vote 11Alive Atlanta anchors Zach Merchant and Faith Jessie. The veteran Georgia journalists both have extensive experience covering state politics and public policy.
