HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — As the PGA Tour event to follow the Masters each year, the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links introduced a popular collector’s item from Augusta a few years ago.
Debuting in 2016 and returning in consecutive years since 2018, gnomes have become a must-have for patrons at Augusta National Golf Club. This week, at South Carolina’s only PGA Tour Signature Event, the gnomes have become a similar talking point.
Joe Perota, a member of the leadership team in the golf shop, said this is the third year of the RBC’s take on the souvenir. The first gnome offered at Harbour Town was a golfer and was a caddy the following year…
