JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — The trial of Brent Metz continued into its second day on Thursday with the prosecution continuing to bring its witnesses to the stand.
The prosecution brought in a doctor to examine X-rays of the victim’s head and the 911 dispatcher who took the emergency call from Metz’s girlfriend.
In the audio recording played for the court, Metz’s girlfriend explained she drove by her home and saw a car parked in front of the house and people on the property who were not allowed to be there. The dispatcher told Metz’s girlfriend that she nor Metz should not go onto the property until law enforcement arrived. The call concluded with if Metz’s girlfriend saw the car drive off before officers arrived, she should call back to let the dispatcher know which direction the car was heading…
