A Fort Collins man who carjacked and kidnapped a woman in Aurora, attempted an armed robbery in Colorado City, and led sheriff’s deputies from two departments on a high-speed chase in May 2025 pleaded guilty to two felonies on June 12.
Shane McSwane, 29, pleaded guilty Friday to charges of second-degree kidnapping and attempted aggravated robbery, both Class 4 felonies, and receieved 13-year sentences for each, to be served consecutively for a total of 26 years in the Department of Corrections.
