Officers were attempting to stop an e-bike rider for hazardous traffic violations when they rode onto Interstate 70, where they were struck by a driver, according to Denver Police.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday on the eastbound side of the highway near Steele Street, police said. The e-bike rider was taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
According to police, the e-bike rider went onto the highway in an apparent attempt to elude officers who were following him. As is standard protocol, DPD is conducting an internal review of this incident…
