The space formerly known as Blake Street Tavern officially reopened under new ownership, now called Tavern on Blake Street.
After sitting closed for years, bringing customers back to a location that became synonymous with Rockies game days just steps from Coors Field.
Owners Jeff and Ashley Moerke took over the space after learning the longtime sports bar was shutting down.
“We used to work here,” Jeff Moerke said. “We found out that it was going out of business. And being able to take over the place, to bring it back to Denver, to be a part of the Rockies. We feel like we’re helping the ballpark neighborhood get better.”…
