ARVADA, Colo. — Some Xcel Energy customers near 64th Avenue and McIntyre Parkway in west Arvada said they’ve been impacted by multiple unplanned outages over the last two weeks.
Business owners said those outages are taking a toll on operations. Mile High Wine Cellars owner Mark Crowder estimated he lost $2,000 in sales when a recent outage hit the store.
“When the power went out one time, two Fridays ago, it was right during rush hour so it was a fair amount of money,” Crowder said. “Had no idea what was going on.”…
