Shots Fired Near Riverfront Hot Spot Rattle Little Raven Corridor

A stretch of downtown Denver that is usually packed with dog walkers, skaters, and visitors turned into an active crime scene Sunday, as police launched an investigation into a shooting near 19th Street and Little Raven Street.

According to Denver police, one person self-transported to a nearby hospital after the incident. Investigators are still working to identify a suspect and have not released the victim’s condition or said whether anyone has been taken into custody. Officials said additional details will be shared as they become available.

In a post on the Denver Police Department, the department wrote, “ALERT: #DPD is investigating a shooting in the area of the 19th and Little Raven,” and asked anyone with information to contact investigators. The post added that “the information in this post is subject to change based on investigative findings.”
