One of Colorado’s best-known independent skateboard retailers has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection weeks after closing its Boulder location, marking another challenge for locally owned specialty retailers facing mounting financial pressures.
Denver-based 303 Boards, founded in 1997, filed for Subchapter V Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on June 18 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. The filing follows the closure of its Boulder store in May after seven years on University Hill.
