DENVER (KDVR) — Video released by the Arvada Police Department showed the moment officers arrested a man who was reportedly actively robbing a bank.
On July 1, around 5 p.m., a man entered the Community Banks of Colorado branch at 7530 Grandview Avenue. Upon entry, he announced, “This is a robbery,” before indicating that there could be guns and other people involved in the robbery as well.

The Arvada Police Department responded and deployed a drone, which showed officers what was happening through the building’s glass doors. Police set up a perimeter and waited for the suspect to leave, which allowed them to avoid a hostage situation, according to a social media post from the department.
