THORNTON, Colo. (KDVR) — A Thornton family is recovering after a single-alarm house fire forced two people to escape through a second-story window Monday morning.

Thornton Fire said six people were inside the home near 112th Avenue and Madison Street when crews were called around 8:39 a.m. Four people were able to get out safely, while two others were taken to the hospital after escaping the fire.
