DENVER | Colorado public health officials are still unable to investigate at least one tuberculosis case at an immigration detention center in Aurora, as the private company that runs the facility missed a deadline to give more information and allow health workers inside the building.
“The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment still has not received access to the facility or all of the information needed to determine who may have been exposed and ensure they receive appropriate testing and treatment,” CDPHE spokesperson Hope Shuler wrote in an email. “The Governor and CDPHE leadership have demanded contact with facility leadership multiple times, including sending written questions, and we remain ready to work together to complete the investigation.”…
