Denver man facing felony charges for tampering with drinking water

DENVER, Colo. (KREX) – A man has been charged with four felonies after allegedly tampering with government property at Berthoud Pass Watershed Ditch.

Fabrizio Lorenzin, 65, allegedly stole or destroyed property belonging to the City of Northglenn and has also been charged with attempting to introduce a contaminant into the public water system at the BPWD site.

The Colorado Attorney General’s Office also charged Lorenzin with opening remote headgates and diverting the flow of the water in the BPWD which diverted the drinking water and damaged the site’s infrastructure…
