‘This is why we build prisons’: Colorado man handed 40-year sentence for stabbing spree

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (TCN) — A 33-year-old man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison in connection with a stabbing spree in January 2025.

According to a press release from the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Luke Barkhaus pleaded guilty to felony child abuse and two counts of first-degree assault.
