DENVER (KDVR) — An arrest was made in connection with a shooting that killed a 17-year-old after a caller in the vehicle the teenager was in reported that they were being chased, the Denver Police Department announced in a press release on Monday afternoon.
Police said they arrested 23-year-old Lino Sandoval last Friday on investigation of first-degree murder.

On Friday, Aug. 21, around 11:31 p.m., police received a call about a shooting in the area of West 17th Avenue and North Federal Boulevard. The caller told the dispatcher that their vehicle was being followed and that they were shot at while driving.
The 17-year-old victim was a passenger in the vehicle. After suffering a gunshot wound, the 17-year-old was taken by the driver in the same vehicle to a hospital in Lakewood. He was later transported to a Denver hospital, where he died from his injuries on Aug. 25…
