No matter how much it hurts, Denver native Shane Bertsch wants to add the Inspirato Colorado Senior Open to his trophy case.
After Thursday’s second round at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club, the 56-year-old’s pain may be worth it.
“I’m trying to add it to my Colorado Open title,” Bertsch, who won the Colorado Open in 1998 when it was played at Saddle Rock Golf Course, said after his 68 Thursday. “I mean, I’m tired, I’m playing on fumes, I’m injured, my fingers hurt, my knees hurt. And I play in the next four or five weeks in a row after this. So I want to win the thing and I’m just hopeful I’m not too far back.”…
