Man injured during drive-by shooting Saturday in northwest Aurora

AURORA | Police are searching for leads after a man told investigators he was injured during a drive-by shooting at an intersection in northwest Aurora Saturday night.

Officers were called to a nearby hospital at about 10:45 p.m. after officials there said a man came into the emergency room suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds. He said the shooting occurred near East Fifth Avenue and Fulton Street.

“The man later told investigators he was driving on East fifth Avenue when a dark-colored sedan pulled up next to him and fired several shots at his car,” Aurora Police spokesperson Joy Moylan said in a statement. “The suspect vehicle then sped from the scene.”…
