Jennifer from Brighton writes, “What’s driving you crazy? The intersection at 120th and Tower has become very busy and the 120th lanes are single lane even for turning vehicles. If someone is heading east and turning south onto Tower, you can sit through multiple cycles waiting to get through the light. Couldn’t we have a light that has arrows so all traffic going one direction has full green to get everyone through the light cycle?”
That part of metro Denver has seen a tremendous amount of growth, especially just west of there with many new housing developments. When I talked to the public works department in Commerce City, they told me while the current amount of traffic going east on 120th Avenue to Tower Road is getting heavier, that volume is still within what a single lane can normally handle.
