Mayor Mike Johnston says Denver buys his agenda, even if his popularity dropped

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston launched his campaign for reelection on Tuesday night, arguing that the city is buying into his change agenda despite a recent poll that found his popularity slipping.

“We know this is a moment where people are really frustrated at all of the leadership in the country. And so that often means anyone that’s in office, they have concerns about,” Johnston said after a speech launching the campaign.
