Colorado man pleads to breach of peace after friends abandon him at Alcova Lake beach

CASPER, Wyo. — A 19-year-old Colorado man reportedly became belligerent and was abandoned by his crew at an Alcova Lake beach accessible only by boat on Sunday, according to a Natrona County Sheriff’s Office report.

Deputies pulled up to Boat Sandy where multiple boats were parked for a reported disturbance at 5:17 p.m. Sept. 5. Witnesses said a man in orange-striped trunks was acting erratically, trying to fight people and entering people’s boats and said he had tried to take one without permission, the affidavit said.

There was reportedly an argument with the people he’d arrived with, and they had left him on the beach.

The suspect was leaning against a boat with his arms crossed and reportedly refused to turn around and identify himself. When he finally turned around, the deputy saw that both eyes were black and blue in color, “consistent with a person who had recently been punched in the face,” the deputy noted. The suspect also showed signs of extreme alcohol intoxication…
