Washed out roads in Aurora remain closed three years after floods destroyed them

AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — People who live in a rural area near Denver International Airport say they want answers about two washed-out roads destroyed by floods in 2023.

They were supposed to get fixed this fall; however, the city now said those repairs will take longer to complete.

Aurora said a heavy rainfall event washed out parts of both Hudson Road and East 56th Avenue, and they have remained shut down for three years.
