DENVER (KDVR) — FOX31 has learned that the Denver Police Department is re-testing 13 cases that it said were affected by former Colorado Bureau of Investigation forensic DNA analyst Yvonne “Missy” Woods.

The former CBI employee pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges in June 2026, after being accused of mishandling evidence in cases over roughly 15 years.
FOX31 previously reported that CBI identified more than 1,000 cases in which officials believe Woods didn’t follow the proper procedures, altered or deleted data, which could lead to numerous retrials.
