At the historical Chamberlin Observatory and Observatory Park, visitors will be able to explore the Moon through telescopes operated by Denver Astronomical Society volunteers, participate in Moon-themed activities, learn about dark skies and Colorado observing locations, meet regional science and education organizations, and visit the Denver Public Library Bookmobile.
Weather permitting, visitors can view the Moon through Chamberlin Observatory’s historic 20-inch Alvan Clark-Saegmuller refractor telescope. DAS members will also have telescopes set up on the south lawn, providing additional views of the Moon and other celestial sights.
