A stretch of roadway was closed in Westminster, Colorado on September 15 after a mountain lion was spotted lounging in a tree.
The road that was impacted was Eaton Street, closed between 112th Avenue and 113th Avenue, which is a residential area. Colorado Parks and Wildlife personnel soon arrived to tranquilize and relocate the big cat, with the road since reopened.
Per 9NEWS, a Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson said that the agency has been tracking calls related to a mountain lion in the area for about a week, with this assumed to be the related animal. It’s believed the mountain lion entered the area from Standley Lake, which is about three miles west of where it was found.
