Driver dies following high-speed I-225 rollover crash in Aurora

AURORA | A man accused of driving his speeding Jeep into the rear end of a car southbound on I-225 last week has died from injuries sustained during the crash, police said Wednesday.

Officers were called to the interstate, just south of East Alameda Avenue, at about 2 a.m. Sept. 12 after reports of a rollover crash.

“Our initial investigation showed a Chevy Cobalt was traveling southbound in the number one lane when it was rear-ended at a high rate of speed by a Jeep Liberty,” Aurora police spokesperson Katie Fisher said in a statement “The Jeep then rolled and the (driver) was ejected. He was transported to an area hospital but unfortunately eventually succumbed to his injuries.”…
