DENVER (KDVR) — South Metro Fire Rescue extinguished the flames at a house fire in Littleton last night, but three residents were left without a place to stay.
South Metro posted at 8:24 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2026, that firefighters responded to a house fire at 1544 W Shepperd Ave., Littleton. Just before 10 p.m., firefighters reported that the flames were out and no one was hurt or taken to the hospital. However, three residents were displaced.

The American Red Cross of Colorado and Wyoming responded to the home to help the displaced residents. Two cats died in the fire, according to fire officials.
The fire rescue team posted a video showing one side of the house still smoldering after the flames were put out, and a photo of a window where its plastic siding had melted. Through the window, the inside of the house looked charred.
