DENVER (KDVR) — Arvada police arrested a 57-year-old man, accused of taking an 8-year-old boy without permission after an Amber Alert launched a statewide search for him.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation reported that investigators found an 8-year-old boy around 1:10 p.m., ten minutes after the alert sounded across the state.
Arvada police said officers found and arrested Doyle Stewart at 1600 Hamilton Place in Englewood. Stewart is believed to be the boy’s grandfather.
