Commerce City officers revive man without a pulse

DENVER (KDVR) — Officers from the Commerce City Police Department arrived at a medical call and helped revive a man who was without a pulse, according to a social media post from the agency on Thursday.

Overnight on Tuesday, first responders were called to a home after a man was found unconscious, not breathing and without a pulse.

“We aren’t paramedics, but we’re often the first, first responders on the scene of a medical emergency, and with that comes a great responsibility,” said the police department in the social media post.

Officers Sutherland and Rodriguez arrived before medical crews and immediately got to work. They performed CPR and were able to get a pulse back.

The officers continued medical care until firefighter paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after. The paramedics took over life-saving duties, and the man eventually regained consciousness…
