DENVER (KDVR) — The Regional Transportation District will hit a large milestone on Sunday when it welcomes the first passengers to the “Bus-Only Lane Operations” (BOLO) on east Colfax, a stretch that has been under construction since 2024.
RTD stated on September 27th, be operating its bus Routes 15 and 15L in the two center lanes of Colfax Avenue from Broadway to Colorado Boulevard. The stop platforms for passengers to board and deboard are now in those center lanes, with many improvements.

“Customers of Routes 15/15L will board and deboard from the BRT’s center station platforms, which will include new security cameras, lighting, public address (PA) systems and emergency phones,” RTD stated in a press release.
Drivers for that route have been training over the last few months. The buses will now be better for those with accessibility needs, along with bike racks inside the bus to make things move quicker…
