DENVER (KDVR) — Discarded hypodermic needles found in a Denver park are raising concerns for people who spend time there, particularly because the park sits across from a school.
A woman visiting Denver from Texas said she found a pile of needles Thursday morning while walking her son’s dogs at Benedict Fountain Park.

She did not want to give her name, but said she immediately pulled the dogs away.
“I’m here visiting from Texas, and I’m watching my son’s dogs. And I was walking in the park this morning right here. All of a sudden I was screaming for the dogs to get away from this pile of hypodermic needles,” said the Texas woman…
